Carbon Extraction
We begin extracting and purifying the carbon from your pet's fur. Under intense heat and pressure, the carbon becomes a diamond.
The process of carbon extraction
Purifying your pet's hair
Your pet's hair is cleaned and then dried to remove moisture. To make the following process easier, we grid the dried hair into powder.
Carbon extraction via pyrolysis
The purified hair powder is charred through pyrolysis—a high-heat process that isolates carbon, resulting in a material with 60 - 90% amorphous carbon.
Refining to 99.9% Carbon
We further purify the carbon at high temperatures, transforming it into a graphite structure with approximately 99.9% purity.
Diamond Growth
The purified graphite is placed in a growth chamber under 5 GPa pressure and 2500°F heat, where it crystallizes into a rough diamond over several weeks.

Polishing, Cutting, Engraving

Once grown, your diamond is polished, cut to shape and size, and engraved with your custom message (if specified).

Your special diamond is sent to an IGI lab for quality control and certification. After that, an IGI certification is issued for the quality of the diamond with a unique serial number.
